Copy right is the law of the U.S that protects poeples work.
2. What is fair use?
Fair use is what allows you to use a limtted amount of copyrighted ratirial for educatoinal use.
3. Can a student use a picture from the smithsonian musum in their report?
Yes, because the smithsonian has granted permission to students to use their pictures for school projects.
4. What is attribution?
Attribution is when you give credit to a person who created the work.
5. Can I show everyone my school project by putting it on a web page?
No because when you put your work on the web page then its being shown to an audience.
6. Does it matter how much of a song or video I use in my work?
Yes it does, it refers to ues of portion of a work.
7. Dosn't the public have the right to use music and art?
Yes, the copyright law tries to balence the rights of artists and others with the the rights of the public.
8. What is the public domain?
A public domain is work that are not cpoyrighted and that may be used without permission.
9. Can I use picture if they don't have the word copyright or the copyright symbol on them?
No you can't becuase if a page doesn't have a symdol doesn't mean you can use, almost everything in the web is copyrighted.
10. I want to use a recording from a website but can't find anything about copyright, what should I do?
The best thing to do is write a permission letter to use the file.Then just wait for a response back.
